From 1982, over 3000 students have graduatedfromthe programme of Architecture. The programme, consisting of BArch, March and MESc, is unique in the universities belong to Tianjin and passed the National Specialty Evaluation authorized by Canberra Accord, and recognized by the signatories, which means the quality of the programme is in the first rank in China. We offer academic programmes and professional preparation within a context of rigorous scholarship, environmental stewardship, and creative endeavor. Our degree programmes address important professional concerns—creativity, intellectual advancement, professional and ethical responsibility, technical innovation, and civic engagement—while developing students’ imaginative and intellectual abilities to provide the information and strategies needed to address contemporary design practice.
The 5-year Bachelor of Architecture degree in Architecture Undergraduate Programme always focuses on providing basic training, professional knowledge system and capacity of practice to our students. Through the whole programme, project courses (design studio) are always integrated with professional practice in several stages, combining lecture courses consisting historical, theoretical, cultural, environmental, and technical courses.
With rapid developing of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region and high level construction and industry recourse of Tianjin, the 3-year postgraduate programme focuses on three fields: Ecological Living Environment Design and Evaluation, Regional Architecture Heritage Conservation and Sustainable Utilization, Regional Culture and Public Space Design and Innovation.
